  • The average home accumulates 40lbs of dust per year – Regular vacuuming can eliminate as much as 85% of soil and dirt from your carpet.
  • Skin flakes and pet and / or human air – On average each person sheds 1.5 million skin flakes per day. Microscopic insects such as fleas, mites or ticks feed on these skin cells, vacuuming helps to reduce the cells and hair which has fallen onto and  been trod into your carpet.
  • Bugs – Your carpet is also home to bed bugs, fleas and dust mites, which can cause allergies, through their molted skin and faeces.

Spilled drinks and food, also serve as a food source for micro organisms and bacteria. To prevent permanent staining or odours forming, it is extremely important to act quickly!

  • Absorb any spills quickly by blotting (don’t rub)
  • Work from the edges in towards the centre, to avoid spreading.
  • If possible, spot treat the area with an appropriate solution.

Minimise the problems…

  • Remove shoes, before walking on carpets
  • Vacuum regularly at least twice a week
  • Place washable rugs in high traffic areas
  • Have your carpets cleaned at least once a year.
